Safe & Sound is an interactive syndicated news product. There is nothing else like it on the market and here is how it works.

Those are the basics, you can enhance the program by including the founder of "Safe & Sound," John Lyle, in your other news programs. Mr. Lyle is a third-degree black belt in the Korean martial art Tang Soo Do. Mr. Lyle does fabulous demonstrations in segments short or long. He can appear on a noon news segment or a half-hour public affairs program. This worked well on WAOW where Mr. Lyle demonstrated safety techniques in an extended late news segment. Building excitementAlso, consider school safety demonstrations to build excitement and crowds. Mr. Lyle would arrive two-to-three day's prior to the mall event. The station would pre-set schools for Mr. Lyle to visit and do his karate/anti-abduction safety lecture. In Flint, to coincide with the school safety assemblies, card shoots were held for the entire school, at the school.
We’ll be backThe final component is that Safe & Sound is not a one-time event. For the cards to be effective, they have to be updated yearly. Safe & Sound will take care of that for you by producing new stories each year to proceed the mall events and return to make the ID's. Safe & Sound will even send out yearly reminder cards to all families who have a Safe & Sound card made. Spot newsThe Safe & Sound team is ready to travel. If a child abduction story breaks in your market, we are ready to respond quickly so you can own the story. Just tell us when you want the program to run and we will do the rest.
